This one-of-a-kind pueblo-style house was built in 1939 by then- San Antonio Mayor McGown as a cattle ranch retreat. The home was designed to mimic San Antonio's Governor's Palace and, thus, looks much older than its mere seventy-two years. Unique 1930s tile abounds as do old-world Mexican doors, high concrete ceilings, one-foot-thick limestone walls, two Kiva-styled rock fireplaces, two hearth-styled rock fireplaces, and two spacious and modern additions.
