south padre island, tx beach house

What a great deal!!! This two bedroom and two bath home sits on a 50"x 125" lot. The house is located in a great  neighborhood and on dead end street . Half block to the bay (great fishing) and about 200 yards from the beach. The nearby neighbors are full time residents and owners. The house was built in 1974. When we purchased, 2004, we gutted the house and remodeled. The roll down shutters add protection from bad weather (no hurricane damage here) and security when out of town. There are bamboo floors throughout the home that brings a clean and openness feeling to the house. New Low E Pella Vinyl windows have been installed. The house also has an eight foot Pella Designer Series sliding glass door with shades between the glass. The bathrooms feature floor to ceiling tile showers. There is a walk-in closet in one of the bedrooms. The kitchen has Maytag appliances with a glass top stove.  Tiled counter tops and breakfast bar. Our favorite feature is the osmosis water filtration system at the extra large white porcelain kitchen sink. Lovely front yard with mature low maintenance and colorful landscaping. The backyard has palms, crape myrtles, oleanders and other various plants. The bricked patio is great for outdoor gatherings. The one car garage is large enough for your car, to store boxes and has a washer and dryer. In addition to completely gutting the inside, we have also replaced the support beams under the house. The new fence adds a lot of privacy and makes the yard safe for kids and dogs. New outdoor stairs and balcony railing was also installed.
