Google Earth coordinates:
45 50' 02.76" N 115 24' 42.03:W
Altitude: about 4000 feet.
Our address was assigned too recently to show up on Google Maps.
Yahoo Maps does have our address, however, it doesn't show that Yew Wood Road connects to Flat Iron Ridge Road, which is the best, and during winter, the only access.
At the Elk City Hotel, turn left onto American River Road and follow for about 2 1/2 miles, after the bridge, stay on road which curves to the right, along the river for about 1/4 mile.
As Flat Iron Ridge Road goes uphill and turns away from the American River, just before the Forest Service hanging sign posts, turn right and sharply down onto Yew Wood Road (Unmarked). Go for about 3/4 mile, just past small log cabin, cross bridge and turn left into first driveway.
