You may catch a glimpse of jackrabbits, antelope, deer, moose, or elk that make this area a hunters paradise. Hike the hill to watch the spectacular sunsetit may even follow you down hill back to the east on some evenings. 

Enjoy the luxuries of a gourmet kitchen, from the granite breakfast bar serving the Great Room, to a solid surface cook top, upgraded side-by-side refrigerator with filtered water and ice, plus automatic dishwasher and built-in microwave. An enormous walk-in pantry is usually stocked with a few basics guests are free to consume and replace. The open layout of this kitchen is big enough for the couple that likes to cook together! An enormous coat closet also accommodates golf clubs, skis, hunting and fishing gear.

Two downstairs bedrooms welcome family and guests with abundant closet space and huge daylight windows for watching the wildlife. There is also a very private master suite upstairs, and a loft .

The first downstairs bedroom has beautiful full size iron bed that sleeps two, plus 2 closets for gear , clothing, and suitcases. A 2nd bedroom is larger with a full size futon and double bed, sleeping a total of 4 and providing an ideal play room for the kids when parents need to relax.

As you climb the steps to the master suite, pause on the landing that overlooks the Great Room. The Loft at the top of the stairs is a great place to read or relax while enjoying the spectacular vista from the Great Room windows! It's also a great place for kids in sleeping bags to spend the night or play their videogames.

From the Loft you will enter the private Master Suite, where the vaulted ceiling opens the space, its sloped lines creating a cozy feeling. A queen bed plus a twin daybed allow 3 to sleep comfortably here. Your view from two enormous windows looks out onto your sprawling acreage on one side, and protected land on the otherwith no neighbors on either side. You also have a private shower and linen closet in the tiled bathroom. Your private retreat has ample space for sleeping, dressing , and sitting. Your enormous walk-in closet has been outfitted with shelves and his-and-her clothing racks, and youll still have storage space to spare.

Antelope Playground offers 1864 of well-planned living space. It is an ideal home base for skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, ATVing, golf and other adventures that have made South Fork famous. At 8200 ft altitude, youll enjoy a cool summer and mild spring/fall. November through March, a scenic 30 minute drive reaches world-class alpine skiing or snowboarding at Wolf Creek Ski.

From here, you can walk to the Rio Grandes gold-medal fly fishing waters. Your log home ownership includes membership in the River Island Ranch fishing club. Access to this private fishing island can be shared with renters. As owner, you can use the large clubhouse for reunions and rent a one-bedroom guest cabin for your overflow guests.
