What's it like in the Cherokee Hills Subdivision?
Every one of our neighbors looked long and hard before deciding to build their houses in Cherokee Hills. This house we are selling was already here when we bought it, but we too looked long and hard before selecting Cherokee Hills as a place to live.
All of the lots here are at least 2 acres. Mobile homes aren't allowed. The electricity is underground. We have DSL/Fast Internet. We don't worry about earthquakes, flooding or hurricanes. The water from our wells needs no treatment whatsoever and tastes better than anything you can buy. (It's from the mountains)
In fact, my wife and I moved here because we each filled out an on line questionnaire at FindYourSpot.com and wound up looking at property around Asheville, NC. After a week of searching for acreages, we ended up in Pickens because everything we saw in the surrounding areas either had steep mountain roads that were dangerous, or had junky property nearby.
We could have moved anywhere we wanted and we chose this area to retire. Now we have moved across the road and built our dream house.
This area is beautiful! It rarely snows in the winter and it's near enough to Greenville, SC and Clemson so that all our big city needs are met.
There is so much beauty in the surrounding area, that we needed a separate web page to describe it!
