I bought this house after I returned from Iraq in 2005. Soon there after I got orders to DC where I remain 4 years later. I do not have the time to act as a rental agent thus am looking to part ways with this wonderful house. That said I am quite ready to sell it as I can no longer afford rent in DC and this house. For that reason this is priced to sell. The home itself sits on the Homosassa River with quick access to the gulf and the near by Manatees. The neighborhood is quiet and well-maintained with little stress. You can dock your boat at your own dock w/ fish cleaning station in the backyard, or you can just sit and watch the sunsets and fish jumping in the canal. The town of Homosassa has events going on all year. The Homosassa wildlife park is nearby with 1.4 miles of paved trails for enjoying the wildlife that is indigenous to Florida, bear, deer, alligators, Manatees, Birds, Pigs, etc. There are many place that you can drive your boat and buy bait & tackle, groceries, pubs and restaurants as well as sightsee day or night. The grocery store, Walmart, Walgreens and great restaurants are all within 10 minutes drive. The town of Inverness is nearby with 52 miles of walking and biking trails. The home is being sold fully furnished. I'm even including my boat. She functions just fine and can get you to the gulf in no time. There is a washer and dryer in the utility room. The Florida room has a table and chairs for great early morning breakfast. If you care to visit Disney, it is about 90 minutes away. The town of Old Homosassa has an interesting history & back ground. Nearby shopping in Homosassa is Cash n' Karry,, Publics, Huge fruit & Vegetable stand, Wal-Mart and many little shops, Restaurants galore that are eat in, car hop, fast food, sit down, oriental, seafood etc.
