This geographical area of the United States was ordered by then U.S.President Theodore Roosevelt, due to plentiful and abundant and easily accessable mineral resources, transformed from Territorial legal status to Statehood legal status to help lower the price of crude oil, which had caused a world wide economic depression.        Interestingly, then President Theodore Roosevelt, the Cowboy President, was not permitted to run for re-election by the New York Republican Party controllers, so he formed his own political party and ran as a' Bull Moose'.  His actions as Chief Executive did, however, result in oil's per barrel price dropping to 'two-bits' or fifty cents per barrel by the year 1910, and a very expansive and worldwide economic business boom

lasting many years after the former President's death at 60 years of age.

Former President Theodore Roosevelt was a genuine war hero ground soldier in the U.S.Army and the only individual the serve as U.S.President  ever to be an awardee of the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in ground combat in the U.S.Army.      Awarded subsequent to his demise by dysentary at sixty years of age.   Both of his sons were killed in World Wars. Theodore was the main organizer in promoting and establishing the National Geographic Society, and establishing the National Park system when he, by Executive Order established Yellowstone National Park.

He was no blood kin of the later President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, their only relation being by marriage, and that Delano continued Theodore's fuel price controls and extended consumer price controls to all manner of consumer retail goods and services by the Federal Agency named   The

Office of Price Administration, which continued until President Jimmy Carter de-funded the OPA during his Presidency WHICH RESULTED in Carter's political defeat by Ronald Reagan after regular  gasoline was permitted to increase in price 42 cents in one month.!!

Back to Mr. Eden, he built and was Superintendent of the Phillips Refinery Company plant in Okmulgee,Okmulgee was home to four oil refineries at one time during the oil boom period from the Territorial year 1902 until 1924.  In the year 2005 the State of Texas' oil production was less than the crude oil production of Okmulgee County in the year 1919.  The Phillips 66 Refinery Plant, now being de-constructed,  is 3/8 of a mile northeasterly of The Eden House. Neighborhood is mainly retirees, and has many large shade trees. The home next door has been listed for sale by the owner, whom has been retired for many years. This house is suited for a quiet couple or single adult. Please see color photography.  Yearly ad valorem taxes are approximately $140.00.
