Beautiful vacation rental units, with "on site living quarters" is now available in the beautiful Georgia mountains. This is such a pretty place with overlook access to two beautiful waterfalls right on the premises. One is over 30 ft high. My father has built steps and decks that enable guests to overlook both of these gorgeous waterfalls. We are surrounded by pine trees that are hundreds of feet high so it's almost like you're staying in "a giant tree house". Check out our website at www.tigercreekfallsinn.com . Click on the button marked "suites and cabins" and you will see a slide show with pictures of the new playground, both waterfalls, "Grandpa's Chisholm Trails" (which is mulch covered trails that wind in and around the surrounding forest and go right to the edge of the waterfall). There are picnic tables and swings, and a huge firepit that enables guests to have a bonfire right by the water's edge. After viewing these pictures you can scroll down and see separate slide shows that enable you to view the inside of each of the 9 different units available to rent. We are located right off Hwy 441 just 6 miles north of the famous "Tallulah Gorge" and only 4 1/2 miles south of Clayton, where there are many restaurants and a Walmart Super Center.
We have 9 different rental units and a 2 bedroom, 2 bath "on site" living quarters of approximately 1708 square ft which includes a beautiful closed in porch that goes completely across the back of the building and has full view of the waterfall below (also used as a conference room). Newly renovated in 2010 there are lots of ways to accommodate our guests. Units located on the lower level overlook the waterfall. All units have walk around decks with access to BBQ grills, outside tables and chairs, and outside rocking chairs. Some units have living rooms with fireplaces and fully equipped kitchens which would include a stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee makers, toaster, can opener, dishes, pots and pans, etc. All units have air conditioning and heat and all units have TVs with VCRs and DVD players and we supply linens (we have 2 separate laundry rooms on the premises).
Chalet #1 and #2 are located up on the hillside. They have walk around decks with their own BBQ grill. You walk into a nice size living room through beautiful double glass doors. It has a fireplace, small dining area, a loft, a fully equipped kitchen, a nice size bathroom, a separate bedroom with queen size bed, and a small room with a twin bed.
Units #3, #4, and #5 are located on the lower level and overlook the waterfall. They have connecting inside doors that can be locked off from each other and rented individually or can open into each other to offer three separate bedrooms and three separate bathrooms with a fully equipped kitchen and large dining area in unit #5. All three units have a fireplace. Unit #3 and #4 both have a small dining area next to a window overlooking the waterfall and both have a small dining area next to a window overlooking the waterfall. They both have a microwave, coffee maker, toaster and small refrigerator to accommodate our guests when rented individually.
Unit #6 is located on the upper deck. It has a queen size bed, small bathroom, a long dresser with a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and also has a small refrigerator.
Chalet suite #7 is located on the upper level but has a balcony that overlooks the waterfall. The balcony has 2 comfy rocking chairs and a BBQ grill. It has a nice big living room with a fireplace, a small dining area next to a window overlooking the waterfall. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, a small couch, and a nice big bathroom.
Chalet suite #8 is locate on the lower level and overlooks the waterfall and is closest to the new playground. This unit offers two separate bedrooms and two separate bathrooms with a nice big living room that has a fireplace, a small dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Chalet suite #9 has a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a nice size bathroom, a separate bedroom with a king size bed and a small couch. This unit is located on the upper deck and has overlook access to the waterfall below.
There is much to do close by which is a definite "plus" for people wanting to plan their vacation here including: white water rafting, horseback riding, a public swimming pool at the local recreation dept (open during summer months), the "Tiger Winery", the "Tiger Drive In Theater" (one of the few remaining drive ins left in the United States), plus two different indoor theaters (one in Cornelia and one in Franklin). There is a fairly new attraction called "Goats on the Roof" and the "Fun Factory" all located close by. There are many beautiful waterfalls to visit in the area, the famous "Tallulah Gorge" (beautiful state park and great place to walk, bike, or hike). There are many other local trails for biking and hiking as well. We are also located within 20 minutes of the Smoky Mountain Performing Arts Center that offers a multitude of plays, concerts, and other entertainment. This is an unbelievably beautiful place to be when the leaves change their color and there are lots of antique shops and both indoor and outdoor flea markets nearby. We are also located near Lake Rabun and Lake Burton.
Newly renovated in June 2010. This is a beautiful vacation spot. It is on 1.76 acres and appraised for $885,000 in 2007. The ability to live on the premises allows you to live "rent free" with all taxes, utilities and insurance paid which is worth approximately $28,800 per year.
