Beautiful contemporary colonial home in family friendly Canterbury Estates.
First about the location: This is one of the original reasons why we built a home in Mansfield. Canterbury Estates is one of the premier executive neighborhoods in the area and you will see this when you drive down Old Stable Drive. Mansfield has a great public school system and is family oriented with lots of activities for children. The location is highly desirable since it is near the junction of Interstates 95 and 495 thereby making all points to Boston, Providence, Worcester, Cape Cod and the Islands easily accessible. It is also convenient to both the Boston and Providence airports for business travelers and less than 2 miles from the Mansfield train station for commuter rail and Amtrak service to Boston, Providence and New York with reserved parking for town residents.
Now about the property: We think the pictures speak for themselves. The house was designed and built by us in 1995 to have an open spacious design with lots of natural light and a large open foyer. We are the original owners. It has 3 traditional bedrooms, with potential for 4. It is well maintained, everything is in working order and the house is in move-in condition. We have a large flat backyard that is ideal for children and suitable for a built-in pool. There is a pea stone area out back for a gym set. Woods are behind the house and no one can build behind you due to the lot design. We have invested in and upgraded the landscaping over the years, and there are natural buffers offering privacy and beauty year round. The streets in Canterbury are quiet and there is no pass-through traffic, making it ideal for people to walk around and children to ride their bikes. All the homes in Canterbury are well maintained. There is a covenant for this development that governs property use and prevents people from rebuilding cars in their driveway and other activities that would detract from the neighborhood.
