The interior of the house was repainted basic white in November 2008.  It seemed that some of our prospective buyers felt that the deeper colors we had painted the rooms prevented them from really "seeing" the home the way they might decorate it - so we had it painted white.  WE ALSO RECARPETED 2 OF THE BEDROOMS AND THE 2ND LIVING ROOM.  All totalled, another $10,000.00 in upgrades made to the house AND we have lowered the price.  We started out at $615,000 1.5 years ago, and I had an offer of $640,000 2.5 years ago (but we weren't thinking of selling it then - darn it!).  I am in the mortgage business (one of the good guys, I assure you) and I know the market has come down quite a bit - so what I am telling you is that we have brought our price way down to where the market has gone.
