Traditional seasonal Adirondack camp on Brantingham Lake with rare three slip boathouse and second story rec room.  Oozing with original traditional charm, this home has been updated and cared for by our family for the past 50 years.  With 5 bedrooms and 2 full baths the house can accommodate your friends and family:10 people in the house, and another 4 in the boathouse! The 2 car garage is used to store  boat and jet ski.  Enjoy the lake views from the large screen porch, patio, and the composite deck.  Located 45     minutes  north of  Utica!

 The main level family room is open to a separate dining area with built in wood cabinets.  There is a brick fireplace and an L-shape family room The family room is wired for cable TV and internet.  The floors and wood trim are original Douglass fir. The kitchen has been updated with cork floors, wall insulation, stained cedar paneling, new appliances including a Jennaire range with griddle and grill, large Frigidaire refrigerator, chest freezer, and dishwahser.  The counter tops are granite tile with garnets from the local Barton mine and are one of the last tile shipments they made!  The kitchen is full of light and has the original built in wood cabinet. There is room for a kitchen table where I have the hutch!  Cork flooring is fantastic for hiding the dirt and is comfortable to work on.

There is a pocket door leading to the basement stairs.  There is a landing there with pantry shelving, one more cabinet, and the water heater.  The stairs lead to a partial, unfinished basement with a full bath (shower cabinet).  The point driven well is in the basement giving it some protection from freezing weather and extending the season a couple of weeks.  There is storage room for all the patio furniture.

When you go up to the second level the stairs, they split.  To the left there is a charming bedroom over the kitchen with 2 twin beds, a dresser, and a small nook for hanging clothes.  There is a full bath with a tub, pedestal sink, commode and built in heater.  The original glass towel rods are still in place!  There is also shelving outside the bath for linen storage. If you go up the right stairway, there are 4 more bedrooms and a large storage closet.  Two of the rooms are smaller and will fit a double bed or trundle.  The other two are larger and can easily fit two twins.  You can’t get a king up the stairs, but we hooked two twins together. This camp was originally built by the Hershey family to entertain friends employees of their mining company.  The 2-story 3-slip boathouse allows for large family gatherings. There is a bar (water disconnected per lake rules), a ping-pong table.  There is enough floor space to sleep about 4 children on blow up, pull-out or cot mattresses.  The boat storage has slips for a motor boat, canoe, and sun-fish sailboat.  There is a storage room for wet jackets, oars, and chairs.  With the APA and DEC rules, you can no longer build boathouses or add a 2nd story unless they are grandfathered-in.

The house has a full width screen porch on the  main level overlooking the lake.  There is a large concrete patio off the lower level and a composite deck off the boathouse.

2006-2011 Kitchen: cabinet doors, cork floors, appliances, granite counters, recessed lights, tin ceiling, cedar paneling, pocket door to basement, and exterior wall insulation.  Also replaced bathroom drain line and had septic tank inspected.
