From the 5-acre site we are selling there are breathtaking views of the Burro Mountains to the west, Cooke's Peak and the Kneeling Nun to the east, and the Florida Mountains near Mexico to the south.

Silver City has a population of 10,000 and is frequently ranked "one of the best small towns in the U.S."  It has a large arts community, a state university, concert association, extensive services for retirees including a nearby Senior Center, an excellent hospital, two good museums,  numerous hiking trails in the Gila Wilderness, birding, biking, golfing, astronomy, nearby archaeological ruins, hot springs, dark night skies, an Astronomical Society, and breathtakingly beautiful sunsets.  Interesting sites near Silver are the Gila Cliff Dwellings, the Cat Walk, and the City of Rocks.
