This is a newly renovated, year-round home located South of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, 45 minutes from downtown Detroit. The location is adjacent to two small farming communities and is one of the many areas producing fresh vegetables year round. The house has 50 feet of frontage on Lake Erie, one of the best fishing lakes in the world. Water sports abound. The lake is clear and the beaches are mostly sand, though some have rock and gravel.

The house is built upon a crawl space as were nearly all in the area. The crawl space has a heat duct for the winter. It was built in the mid 20s and retains much of the character of the older style homes and fits perfectly in this neighborhood. All corners on the house have stone inserts (stone corners). The windows are vinyl and all windows except the bathroom and bedroom are casement windows. The bathroom window is double hung as are the bedroom windows.

When renovated, the house was two bedroom and instead we made one large bedroom. Could easily be coverted back. As a handicap accessible home, there are no steps or barriers to approach the home or leave through either the front or rear exit, yet the design eliminates the look of a handicap home. The only visible ramp is the front entrance which has a visible ramp to the front patio area. This is a concrete ramp and is enclosed in decorative block and one hardly notices that it is a ramp at all. There is, however, no ramp to the pool though one would be easy to install.

This house is approximately fifteen feet above lake level and has a six foot sea wall of concrete with the lawn sloping to the lake. From the living room it appears only as a short lawn area, then water for as far as the eye can see.

Many beaches in the area have private roads, but this is on a public road which means that the county maintains it for surface integrity, mowing in the summer and snow removal in the winter.

The property has a detached two car garage with a new approach, garage floor, foundation, and was covered in brick to match the house including the stone corners. There is a large asphault driveway that will easily hold four cars.

The back yard has an oval swimming pool with a new safety cover that will support humans. I am a large male and I can walk on it safely. The fence around the pool is six feet tall and has three wide gates for easy access front, back and to one side.

The neighbors are truly wonderful people and we hate to leave but must do so for medical reasons.
