The Admiralty

The Admiralty is a gated community located 1.3 miles east of the Robert Moses Causeway on the south side of Montauk Highway in West Bay Shore. 160 townhouses are distributed throughout the 100 developed acres. The grounds include a 60 slip marina, three tennis courts, one pool, five ponds, one clubhouse, numerous gardens and expansive lawns. There is a 24 hour security guard at the gatehouse entrance to the community. The Admiralty is organized as a home owners association.

Our home is located at the end of Mariner Lane, 130 acres of Nature Conservancy land starts 20 feet from our south side. There are no homes across the street from us. Behind us the homes are hardly visible during the summer due to the foliage. This location is the most private in the community; our street is the least traveled. If you desire a quite, private, treed location then you must see our home.

Since our location is so private and remote, we are constantly visited by the local wildlife.  Red foxes, rabbits, turtles and the ocassional deer have been in our backyard.  The location is great for bird watching as well.  We have included some photos of our neighbors in the slideshow.
