The Hawaiian Ocean View Estates Subdivision (HOVE) is located on the slope of Mauna Loa in the Kau District on the southwest side of the Big Island. It is approximately 40 miles south of Kailua-Kona, the premier tourist spot on the island, and about 15 miles north of the town of Naalehu. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is a short one hour drive away. The village of Ocean View is just 10 minutes drive away and has several restaurants, Natural Health Food Store, small grocery stores, an ACE hardware, a few gas stations, a Laundromat, and Bed and Breakfast and vacation rentals.
