A tranquil place to live at the end of a state maintained road.  No worry about traffic passing by your house.  Great location for a hunting lodge.

Dreaming of a winery, then this is your farm.

Plenty of fenced in area for cattle/horses if you are looking for a working farm for animals.  Plenty of trees, creeks, fresh water for animals and more.

Some have considered this farm for an organic farming opportunity.  Tobacco and other crops have not been tended on this property since the early 80's, so it would be classified organic and chemical free.

The picture does not begin to describe this home and farm. Ringgold Farm Photo's.  There have been so many stories about Ringgold in itself and all the GOLD that is proposed to be on this farm.  There are some lovely creeks surrounding the property, so I suppose that mystery will have to be solved by the next generations.  There are some property owners that have been waiting for right a ways to their property thru this farm, just for the gold mining.  Dreamers!

This home could be lived in as is, but a little updating (someone with a great eye for renovating could double or even triple their profits in a short while) would bring this home back to the mansion it was when it was built back in the 1800's. An amazing place to live. Schools are within 4 miles.

This farm was purchased by our family January 1966. Two of the main rooms of the farmhouse had ceilings that were probably 10-12 foot high. Our dad lowered the ceilings, (these could be restored) added on a bath on the backporch of the house and paneled two of the rooms downstairs. The kitchen was a large room with a HUGE pantry and a woodstove. Dad remodeled this and had cabinets installed, built in a newer pantry and added a place for the washer/dryer in the kitchen.

Most of the rooms have beautifully ornate door and window facings that was so common in homes from the 1800's. Need photo's of the rooms and other details of the inside of the home, just email me.

There wasn't any heat in the house, other than a few oil circulators we used downstairs. Daddy added central heating, and in the late 70's added central air.

We were told that this home was built in two parts in the late 1800's and early 1900's. This is the reason for TWO front doors. There never was enough money to do all the restorations, therefore there are many potentials for this home, and the future home owner.

A staircase in the middle of the home is the most spectacular staircase you will ever see. Fireplaces in the two bedrooms on the left of the house (we never used these). Another fireplace in the den area of the house, and yet another one that was covered up in one of the central rooms of the house.

All the rooms in the house are HUGE rooms, as was common in the 1800's. In the late 70's my dad added another room over the cellar of the house, to add a woodstove that was connected to the house so he could burn wood to heat the home. This is still a cellar for the furnace, hot water heater and woodstove.

Two years ago, new carpeting was added to three of the rooms on the main floor, and the interior paneling was painted. Tin roof still, and there is a leak someplace, that we have not found, and with a heavy rain, it tends to come inside.

4 bedrooms, one bath, hallway downstairs and upstairs; backporch wraps around the back of the house and is enclosed; kitchen/laundry; dining room; den; one of the downstairs rooms could be made into a formal living room. Potential for adding bathrooms.

There is an old cabin on the farm, to the right of the homeplace. This was remodeled in the early 70's. Cabinets were added to the kitchen, and a bath added on. There is one upstairs room and two rooms downstairs. Then the bath and backporch. This has been used for storage for over 20 years, but potential for usage if repairs were made.

Behind the home house is a smoke house and workshop. Pretty large building, which we used for smoking hams and fat back meat in my growing up years. There is a large stable on the farm with fencing for cows/horses. A creek runs thru these pastures and there is a small waterfall that flows over rocks that is probably the most tranquil place you will find on earth.

Plenty of open land for hay and other crops. Pasture land already fenced in and ready for livestock. Some of the fencing may need repairing.

Some timber also.

All in all, this is a beautiful homeplace and farm. The homeplace is on the end of a graveled road, past the state maintained road, which is paved, so there isn't any traffic going by your house. A quiet country setting, near many new businesses and factories being built in the area, 10 miles in most any direction. 20 minutes from town, and 20 minutes from the North Carolina line.
