The greatest thing about this location is the enclosed dog park a block and a half away. If you are a dog-lover, then you will love this place.
The Vaux is a new condominium complex located on 23rd and Savier in Northwest Portland. Please see pictures of the complex at www.thevaux.com. I have added a granite-topped desk and cabinets in the living room and a cabinet in the bathroom. The appliances are black and the granite countertop is Santa Cecelia. I have changed the color of the paint to a dusty rose which makes for a much warmer ambiance. A lovely wood covers the living room and kitchen with the bedroom having carpet. The bathroom is Travertine. An underground parking spot goes with the unit as well as a storage unit. Public transportation is great and there is actually no need for an auto if one desired to use the public transportation. The residents of the complex are a mix of gender and age, but leans more to the younger crowd. Many of the units are vacation homes, as mine is. I have a great location - second floor next to the corner, so very quiet. If your doggie yips occasionally it will not matter because there is no one close by to hear it. There also is a good-sized balcony.
Entry into Forest Park is a few blocks away so great for runners and hikers. Please visit the area and you will fall in love.
This is a mixed residential neighborhood and The Vaux is only four floors. There are restaurants all around as well as fitness centers, shops, etc. The library is just one block down and the post office is across the street.
Except for electricity, utilities are included in the HOA dues, which were about $2700 for the past year.
My particular unit is very quiet. I am across from our storage room, which is a good thing for easy and daily access if desired, and one storage unit is included in the sales price. There are others available for purchase.
