It's a south facing mining claim with fantastic views of the Zirkel Wilderness area, Sand Mountain, and all the other beautiful mountains up here. The land is surrounded by national forest and is 2 miles off pavement across from Columbine, CO. It's ideal for a second cabin site getaway. My husband builds great cabins if you'd like to arrange something. There's great backcountry downhill and cross-country skiing right there. There is also snowmobiling and snowshoeing. We get LOTS of DEEP powder up here. You can drive to the land in all seasons but winter, then you have to snowmobile to it. In the spring, summer and fall there is lots of great biking and hiking on Hahn's Peak. There is also great camping, rock climbing and rafting in the area (and hunting if you're a hunter). You can see Steamboat Lake from the land - it's about 1/2 mile away. Pearl Lake is just a few miles south and Hahn's Peak Lake is just a few miles north. The lakes have great fishing, and Steamboat Lake is a great lake for water skiing and boating. The other two lakes are nonmotorized. Hahn's Peak also has lots of great history since it was founded as a mining town in the late 1800's. We own ten more acres up there that we're keeping because it's the best spot in the world.
