

When you first look at this house the thing that grabs you right off is its gorgeous roof.The shingles on the roof of the house are lifetime architectural type that match the trim. ,I still have two bundles for any future needs.The outside stain is Sikkens log and siding.Best on the market.$75.00 a gallon.I know its the best, because before I decided on it, I ordered a sample of the top 7 stain companies and tested them for a week outside.The Sikkens stuff was by far the most beautiful.The house is both log and conventional type build because the lower half uses flat tongue and groove log and the top part uses 12" board and batten on top of exterior grade plywood.Any time you see a 2 story log home the upper half is never log,they usually use log siding split pieces but I wanted something different.The pictures include exposed beams on both upper and lower floors on the interior.The upper floor uses 1 1/2" thick tongue and grove plank flooring.Upper interior is sheet rock around exposed beams.Master bedroom is located on the main floor with both bedrooms on the upper floor,one of them being the loft bedroom which could easily be converted to an office. Doors are arched topped solid wood all with schlage knobs and locks.Access to the back deck is through two wooded french type doors.From the back deck you can see the panaramic mountain range so close you can almost touch it. The basement has the one car garage with paved driveway leading up on one side, separated by door with laundry and extra room on the other half. The appliances are black and stainless except for fridge.You will notice from pictures that the exposed ceiling beams are a walnut stain that is offset by the natural wood flooring.There is a huge 12x6 beam running the length of the house.The lot is .4 acres which is one of the larger in Christmount. Christmount offers some of the areas best hiking trails,a pool with life guard,tennis courts basketball and a huge playground for kids.this area is very quiet with great neighbors that really look out for each other.Association/road fees are $190. per year.Downtown Black Mountain is 3 minutes away and Asheville is 15 minutes.Thanks for looking,Kurt and Sandy.
