The Yard: This will be our 4th year using True-Green on the lawn, so you know the grass is healthy. Also, the neighbors behind the house are an older couple that gladly let our children play in their yard since we share a property line. It makes the backyard more enjoyable and really big.
The Deck has gates: The rear deck is 25 x 16 providing almost 500 sqft of space. Every Sunday afternoon were there grilling or just hanging out. There are also custom built gates for each of the entrances to both the front and back deck so small children can play on the deck without fear of having them wander off.
The Remodeling: Just before we purchased the house, my brothers built the 25 x 16 deck on the back, replaced the roof, as well as remodeled the entire kitchen and dining area. In 2008 the sewer line was replaced, and in the last few months, we have painted the upstairs bedrooms, the entry way, stairway, and living rooms. Weve also remodeled the bathroom above the shower to provide better ventilation.
The Driveway has an ideal slope for draining rainwater away from the house. When the driveway was initially poured, the previous owner actually had the concrete company rip up the driveway and re-pour it correctly to drain water away from the house and toward the street. Weve enjoyed a dry basement since weve moved in.
The Neighbors in this area are wonderful. We share a driveway with an older woman who is an absolute gem, and behind us is another older couple who enjoys letting their grandkids play with our children. Across the street there are also a number of very helpful and welcoming families.
