Maine Island fabulous cottage, no humidity perfect summers,

Enjoy all the seasons in this year round cottage.    June, July and August brings average temps of 74-82 degree days and 52-60 degree nights.  Fall is gorgeous with colorful foliage, winter offers snowmobiling, ice fishing, and skiing.  The fishing in Springtime if supreme, as this lake holds the record for largest land locked salmon and trout.  This beautiful yellow pine cottage, sleeps 9 (without using sleeping sofa or air mattresses). The beds sizes are as follows: M.B. has Queen, large loft has 5 twin beds, two are made up as a King and the best of all is the double bed on the sleeping screened porch that is suspended from the ceiling.   Screen porch also has rattan dining set + corner TV (for viewing from suspended bed). Great room is open to kitchen with 25 foot ceilings and enormous beams. All furniture, appliances,(stove, microwave, two refrigerators (one in garage), dishwasher, disposal, washer and dryer) hot tub, tv's, dishes and glassware included. Did I mention the large enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water. The cottage is on a half acre lot with 100 ft. water frontage (an adjoining half acre lot available for purchase), dock, lawn tractor, and large garage with tools, fishing equipment including ice fishing equip. No need for a.c., but there is a large window unit if you want to use it. Great room has a large wood stove and we have central heat for year round use. Gaze at the waterfront from the 6 adirondack chairs, from the hot tub, or the 3 person cedar suspended bench swing, or lull yourself into a nap in the hammock. The lake is 13 miles long with a lake restaurant that you can reach by boat. Nearby ammenities include several restaurants, a 9 hole golf course very close by, or 18 holes a half hour away, grocery stores and a local butcher with a lobster tank (he will steam and crack them for you) Friendly Canada is about 12 miles away. For some reason we don't have black flies or hardly even mosquitos. I've been told that it is because we are on an Island with a constant breeze and not a lot of trees. The Island is 3 miles around (a great morning walk or run), there are only about 30 other vacation homes on the Island. This Island is the most charming community.  The Island has a speed limit of 15 miles per hour so it is safe for kids to ride their bikes around the Island, jogging or walking your dog. Teach your kids/grandkids to waterski on this very quiet lake. Summer is perfect at this tranquil lake. Enjoy the amazing Fall tree colors. In the winter, ice fish, cross country ski, downhill ski, snowmobile ( most restaurants stay open for snowmobilers).   This is truly a four season vacation home at a great price.
