This house is on a small lot, but on each side are empty lots with stands of pine trees and palmetto shrubs growing naturally, which make for nice views out of all the side windows.  The one house which you can see out the back is one like ours, and it makes a pretty part of the back view, along with the marsh. There are windows on almost all of the walls, in fact all but the computer room/master bedroom, where there are double windows on one wall.  All the windows open and have screens.  

The "back yard" is what really sold us when we bought it five years ago.  Walking from the front door across the living room you face French doors which lead onto a screened porch, looking out onto the marsh.  All that is in front of you is marsh, trees on the edges, and the eastern sky.  

We just had a new sink put in the kitchen, a Kohler.  Last year we had a custom window made for the window over the sink which looks directly over the marsh.  The window opens like a door to the outside, you just push it, and it swings all the way open and latches with a gate latch on the house. It has a pop-in&out screen.  It opens onto the deck, which is half of the back porch, the other half being screened. This window gives an open view to the marsh, the hawk who often sails in the sky and nests in one of the large pines, and the F-14's which occasionally zoom across the sky going to the Air Force base.
