Great fishing in the Florida Nature Coast's renowned flats and Gulf fishing a very short boat ride away; fish for Redfish, Trout, Cobia, Tarpon, Grouper and Snapper. Gulf Coast scallop season runs from July 1 through September 10. Bring your kayak, canoe, or boat and fishing gear for a great time! Rental boats are available at several of the nearby marinas. Natures Resort campground is located across the highway perfect for visiting friends.
The town of Homosassa has events going on all year. The Homosassa wildlife park is nearby with 1.4 miles of paved trails for enjoying the wildlife that is indigenous to Florida, bear, deer, alligators, Manatees, Birds, Pigs, etc. Publix, Winn-Dixie, Wal-Mart, Walgreens and great restaurants are all within 10 minutes drive. The town of Inverness is nearby with 52 miles of walking and biking trails.
