***** REALTORS ARE NOW WELCOME (REPRESENTING BUYERS) ******
You've got to see my house. Its got room for the family and has a gorgeous yard that feels huge, and has three sheds. I bought it about six years ago as a foreclosure after I got divorced; I needed an affordable place where I could raise my two kids. I saved up and over the past two years I've been renovating it, and now Im done. Why sell it then? Well, as luck would have it, Cupid's arrow found me again and my fiance and I have decided to buy a place together which will require us to move closer to her place of work.
When you pull onto the newly paved and sealed driveway, you are met by beautiful pair of huge maples in the front yard. I rebuilt both the front and side entry decks, and put in a new front door and side entry screen door. The whole exterior has been completely repainted, and I finished it up with all new shutters. I even re-did the gutters and downspouts around the whole house.
The inside is beautiful and really cozy! All the windows had just been replaced when I bought the house they're the double-hung fold-in type (for easy cleaning) and are in perfect condition. I also just finished repainting the entire interior. The central air conditioning system is fantastic and works rapidly, and the heat comes from oil-fired hot water baseboards the best way to heat a house. Both systems work really well to keep the temperature right where you want it. The kitchen is immaculate, with a new floor and a bunch of new cabinets. The stove is propane, which cooks faster than natural gas. I even put in one of those sink faucets that has a pull-out spray head. The first of three bedrooms is located next to the kitchen and has new carpeting, a ceiling fan and a kids overhead bunk combination set, including a computer workstation. It also includes a free-standing fold-out chair/single bed combo. The entrance to the attic via a fold-down staircase is located in this room, and the attic has a great amount of storage space.
The same new flooring continues through the hall, where the washer and electric dryer are. I'm including these in the sale too. I also use this area as a desk/office space. You then transition into the family room which has a ceiling fan, all new carpet and several windows which keep it bright all day long. The second and third bedrooms are located off of this room along the back of the house, and have the same new carpeting and ceiling fans. In one of these bedrooms I'm including a kids rainbow-colored queen-size futon bed with overhead bunk, a matching desk, and matching ceiling fan. The bathroom has a stall shower, a pair of open shelves, and a new sink faucet.
Now onto the outside... I had the oil system upgraded now the oil is stored in an above-ground new Roth 275-gallon tank - the best you can buy. It's guaranteed not to leak and comes with it's own insurance warranty. The utility room is an add-on to the house and is pretty quiet, and houses the oil-fired furnace and whole-house water softener.
The yard is absolutely beautiful - perfect for a big game of kickball or tossing a frisbee, and quiet enough to have a big family picnic or just relax. I improved the yard earlier this summer when I had the septic system replaced (and by legit permit), and then had several truck-loads of topsoil brought in to re-landscape the entire property. Then I bought and had 8,000 square feet of high-quality (fescue) sod put down. I constructed an above-ground sprinkler system to keep it watered till it took hold. Its spectacular! The feel in the back yard is so inviting; I will miss it when we move. It's hard to believe the numbers - the yard really does feel a lot bigger.
The three sheds have been incredibly useful. The first one is the largest and functions as a great workshop, having its own breaker panel for heavy electric use and capability. It's also where I keep all my tools and sporting equipment and fishing tackle and store two of my quads. I also built a cool removable staircase that if not being used, can be stored out of the way along the wall. The shed attic is great; completely floored for tons of lighted and vented storage space. The second and third sheds have brand new flat roofs I just put up. A few years ago I built a set of stairs and a rim of 4x4s and rails on top of these so my kids could use it as a fort when they were younger. They loved going up there and playing, hanging out in their own space. They even had a Little Tikes picnic table up there, which is still around. The second shed has a lockable door; I use it to store another quad, snow plow blade and bunch of bikes. The third shed is open to the air - that's where I keep my tractor and other lawn equipment.
I've priced the home very fairly for what it has to offer and what comes with it. This place is a great way to get into one of the best locations in the State, enjoy very low taxes, excellent schools, and not have to shell out a ton of dough. I think you'll agree if you stop by and see for yourself.
And the neighbors are all wonderful people!!
Thanks for viewing. Hope to see you,
Mike
