    A Saltbox Contemporary built in 1986 in a small cul de sac community of one acre ridge lots, Pioneer Trails. Our Association consists of less than 30 homes with dues of $100/year.

    Extensively renovated exterior and interior from 2006 - 2011 by 18 year owners. From the Thomasville Kitchen to the attached garage, garden and tool sheds, to the spacious pine enclosed courtyard, to the newly excavated private fire pit you will be surprised at how large a one acre ridge lot can be. Over 600 perennial daffodils, dozens of white dogwoods, flame azaleas, rhododendrons, wildflowers, pear and apple trees grace the grounds with native hardiness. The raised rock, herb and butterfly gardens are comprised of drought resistant, low maintenance perennials. And should you wish there is a very slightly sloping large space for a vegetable and/or flower garden to provide a bountiful harvest. 

     There are three levels to the house. The top level consists of a NW corner carpeted master bedroom with linked dual master bath. A Sunset facing deck graces the master bedroom. Two double closets and a linen closet complete this level.  

     The second level consists of a living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, half-bath, and pantry with wood flooring. The glass enclosed foyer has antique brick flooring. a mirrored closet, and a three shelf display case over an enclosed storage area. The second floor opens by way of two sets of sliding doors onto the main wood deck -- half of which is open to the sky and half covered by the bedroom balcony.

    On the lower level is a very adaptable living area. There are two carpeted rooms, both with outside access which can be used as bedrooms or as a bedroom with an office. Another larger carpeted room serves as a TV/Media/Game Room. A designer tiled bathroom, wash/dryer, utility room, and closets completes this level. Just outside on this level the rock garden and courtyard provide beauty, ease of accessibility, a vast parking space, and privacy for rental should that be an option you would entertain or for family use.

    Views -- did we mention Views? The house was enhanced so that every over size casement window and sliding door would enjoy an unobstructed view of nature throughout each season.  Along with walls of glass, good lighting is essential to creating an outdoor ambience. We added two solar lights to the cathedral ceilinged living room which double as self contained down lights on rainy days or eves. Even the Master jetted extra long bathtub enjoys an overhead skylight/fan combination. All outdoor lighting complies with low-glare downlight exterior standards.  

    Squirrels, painted turtles, rabbits, chipmunks, ravens, songbirds, butterflies, fireflies, and the occasional wild turkey make this home their home for part of each year.
