The Family Farm produced over $98K of sales in FY 2010 (October 2009 through September 2010) and $54K net profit before owner draws and taxes. FY 2011 sales took a setback due to unusual weather, downturn in the general economy and County road construction. Sales are projected to grow steadily to over $150K annually over the next 5 years. . This growth is realized through changes in product mix and increased productivity from expanded green house capacity. The average annual revenue over the 5 year period is projected to be $135K. The cost-to-sales ratio is expected to improve over that of FY 2010 and FY 2011 due to better harvesting techniques and time management.
Equity in the real estate is expected to grow significantly as the market returns to normal.
The Family Farm has always been involved in the “Open Spaces Ag Program”. This involvement greatly reduces the property tax. The CY 2010 total was $261.00.
The Family Farm as a brand name is well known and respected in the market community. Consumers know what they can get from them and respect the products and services.
