A one of a kind log home in a wooded setting in the Buckskin area, just outside Pocatello, ID. It sits at a 6000 ft elevation, with spectacular views of the valley and distant mountains. It is a 10 minute ride to town and also less than 20 minutes to the Pocatello airport.  It is also only a short drive from a local ski resort and a few hours from Pomerelle and Grand Targhee ski resorts. Yellowstone Park and Jackson Hole WY are approximately a three hour drive.

The access to the house is a flat driveway, which make winter usage very easy.  The property connects to both Buckskin road and Beehive road. It is possible to sub-divide 5 acres from the property.

The log home is constructed from hand-hewn logs and has recently been re-chinked and stained. The main house is 2400 square feet. The home is propane heat, with recently installed gas furnace and 2 additional gas fireplaces inside and 1 wood burning insert in the stone fireplace on the main floor.  The house is wired with Dish Network. The basement has the laundry room, a second kitchen, a bedroom, a family room and a full bathroom.  The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, and a built in bar. The downstairs could be used as a Mother-in-Law apartment.

The main floor has a bedroom, a great room, the main kitchen, and a full bathroom. The kitchen has been recently remodeled with Corian countertops and has a huge bar open to the front room. The appliances include a gas/ electric Jen-air range, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. The  front room makes a cozy setting with a fire in the fireplace during the cool fall nights. There is a wraparound deck, from which dozens of hummingbirds feed each year.

The upstairs bedroom on the top floor is 20 x 27 and has a corner gas fireplace. The master bath has a garden spa tub and a shower. There is a 10 x 13 open loft in the bedroom that can be used for a variety of uses. There is a deck off the master bedroom overlooking the back of the house. Various wildlife, including moose and deer can be observed from the deck.

There is a detached 2 car garage with a automatic garage door opener. On top of the garage, there is a 20' x 20' spare room that has been used as a craft/ hobby room, which is heated with electric baseboard and/or a propane fireplace on a thermostat.

Additionally, there is a 20' x 12' log cabin beside the garage that is currently used as a home office. It is heated by a propane stove on a thermostat. The cabin is carpeted and has a tiled entry.  The office also has high speed internet. There is a loft in the cabin that can be used for a variety of purposes.

Finally, there is a corral below the house with a creek running through it. There are two storage building that can serve  multiple purposes.
