Our house is nestled on a beautiful scenic acreage on the outskirts of Knoxville. It is surrounded by abundance of nature all around and it's such a peaceful and relaxing place away from the noisy city life. For someone looking to get away from it all and who loves hunting, fishing, dirt biking, 4 wheeling or just enjoying the nature beauty of Iowa, this is the perfect place. The acreage consists of two partially fenced fields with great pasture for livestock or horses. There is plenty of timber along the north side. Located near the edge of the White Breast Creek, belonging to federal land, there is vast abundance of wildlife here, such as: deer, fox, beaver, rabbits, turkey, pheasant, geese, ducks, quail, etc. The place is secluded, the views are spectacular, the fields are lush, and the nature is wild!

I love coming home here, it's like coming to a true resting place. It is located at the end of the dead end road, very tranquil and undisturbed setting. Yet it's full of sounds of nature: song birds, squirrels, quail, pheasant and waterfowl all filling the air with their own joy. The neighborhood is great and a pleasure to deal with. Our 9.5 acre property is secluded, yet it's located only 3.6 miles from Hy-vee, 4.2 miles from Walmart and 38 miles from downtown Des Moines. There is plenty of space to park up to 3 vehicles under the roof of the 54' x 54' machine/cattle shed and enough concrete area in front of it to park an RV. I love spending a quiet evening around the campfire in our backyard.

Our house is a story and a half with a 3/4 walkout basement. In 2009 all exterior and the main level interior was completely remodeled. The basement was remodeled and partially finished in 2019. The upstairs bedroom is in the process of being completed soon. There is a potential for expansion up in the attic. The energy efficient house is well insulated. There are LED light bulbs throughout. I love the special features of our house, including the multi room audio system, central vacuum system and a quadruple water filtration system. I love that our spacious kitchen and master bedroom both have a sliding door to the 12'x 29' covered deck. I also enjoy the beauty of the oak hardwood floor throughout the house. In the winter we enjoy sitting and watching the flames of our Lopi Leyden cast iron wood stove. With a new sand filter septic system just installed in 2018 and many fresh electrical, plumbing and HVAC updates, this house is in the best shape it's ever been. All appliances and wood stove stay. Furniture negotiable. All repair receipts available.
