• Step 1: After you purchase a package that includes a Listing, you will receive an e-mail with information on how to complete the forms that are necessary to list your property on
  • Step 2: After downloading the necessary forms, you will be provided instructions for completion of these forms. In order to be featured on, you must indicate that you are willing to pay a buyer's agent as low as 0.01% of the sale price of your home. However, by entering this agreement, you are not be obligated to accept any offer or pay any commission.
  • Step 3: After you have completed the necessary forms, you can return them by fax or e-mail, along with photos of your property. You may post up to 6 photos, with one main photo showing the front of your house or condo building (additional photos are available for purchase through your ForSaleByOwner Selling Center). When you receive your listing confirmation forms, you will also receive instructions on how to submit photos. Upon receipt, your property will be listed on within three business days, and will remain listed for six months or until you sell, whichever occurs first.

Stating a commission in the open listing agreement is necessary to enter your property into the MLS. You should enter 1%. Given that your property will not be searchable by agents in your local area, there is slim to no chance that a buyer’s agent would contact you with the intent to show your property to a buyer. Even in this did occur, you have the right to refuse any offer, and therefore will not be required to pay a commission.
